Bio
She's a lover
Karin had never really had much say in what she did.

She often spoke, of course. Often argued and never took any punishment the royal family dished to her for misconduct personally, which made her seem anti-vapid and quite rude. Regardless of the fact, she grew up rich and quite famous because of her title, and Korea rather liked the feisty Crown Princess, her attitude being somewhat endearing to the public. The Royal Family themselves could positively not stand her, however, and she never tried to correct it. Anyone who spent an amount of time with her - such as her close servants - could see how asphyxiated she was growing up in the palace, and so she continually fought those who put her there without any sort of remorse.
Baby, and a fighter
As much as the Royals tried to tolerate her (liking her was pretty much out of the question), she blatantly did just about anything she felt to be appropriate, from having open relationships with students at her school to insulting the ways of the family on live TV.

And just as they always do, Karin's long-set plan eventually unfolded right into her hands.

After a fairly damaging scandal - one that even made the Korean public think twice about her, the family gave up and sent her away. They removed her title and replaced it with "Royal Princess", calling it a "temporary arrangement", since Korean imperial regulations state that unless she is dead, she has to become the official Queen instead of her brother becoming King and taking a wife. Left in the careful care of the Japanese, Karin was finally free to do as she so pleased, one of the first things being cut her hair an interesting style and go to a "mall" to buy herself some clothing.
Should've seen it coming
While she was constantly followed by guards and servants, Karin could do just about anything she wanted, from attending Royal parties to block parties, and while many recognized her face every day, she could still walk down a street wearing a pair of sun glasses and mostly be able to keep to herself, something unheard of in Korea.

Nonetheless, the novelty got boring with time. Living with only a few servants in a fairly luxurious complex set aside just for an expulsion occasion, there wasn't a lot of things to do, and so she eventually began to seek it. She tried everything at least once and displayed talent in plenty of things, but nothing kept her interest for long.
When it got a little brighter
Eventually she resigned herself to the fact that she needed to drop some of her pretentiousness and try to be more social, however, Commoners annoyed her greatly, due to their lack of knowledge in almost any topic she could bring up, and the Japanese royals annoyed her further because they treated her with little or, on the opposite spectrum, far too much respect. She found there to be very little middle ground between the two of them, but nonetheless did she abandon her almost entirely secluded school and attend one slightly more public. From there she studied art and made a few misfitted, but nonetheless intelligent, acquaintances, but regardless of that, Karin was still extremely bored and ready for something to creep up behind her.
